Kathy has been a civil litigation attorney for the past six years. She has defended cases in areas including personal injury, premises liability, contract, landlord-tenant, discrimination and defamation.
Kathy litigates a wide variety of disputed matters and counsels employers in all aspects of employment law, including:
- Wrongful termination
- Breach of contract
- Wage and hour violations
- Class action defense
- Invasion of privacy
- Protection of employer trade secrets and confidential information
- Unfair business practices
- 132a claims
- Serious and willful claims
Kathy is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and Los Angeles County Bar Association. She also volunteers at the Juvenile Justice Center with members of Women Lawyers of Ventura County.
Kathy graduated with honors from Utah State University with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Ventura College of Law. While attending night courses at Ventura College of Law, Kathy worked full time as a legal secretary and law clerk at a litigation defense firm. She was promoted to an associate attorney position immediately upon graduating as the Valedictorian of her class.
Kathy lives in Camarillo with her husband, Dan, and their dog, Sydney. She enjoys traveling and looks forward to visiting many more places.
