A Morning with the DLSE and DFEH
Monday, May 16, 2011

The East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (EAC) presents “A Morning with the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH)” with employment law attorney Louis A. Cappadona of LightGabler, Paul Rodriguez of the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement, and Theresa Satterfield of the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. This seminar is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 18, at the Palm Garden Hotel, 495 N. Ventu Park Road in Thousand Oaks.

Employers of all sizes want to know what really goes on behind the scenes when an employee files a wage and hour complaint with the DLSE, or a discrimination and harassment complaint with the DFEH. LightGabler attorney Lou Cappadona will speak with Paul Rodriguez (Senior Deputy Labor Commission with the California DLSE), and Theresa Satterfield (Consultant III with the California DFEH) in a half-day seminar designed to give you the "inside scoop." Employers will have the unique opportunity to ask questions about why your employee claims are accepted, how they are processed, and how the state agencies make their decisions.

“A Morning with the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH)” is open to all interested business people. For more information and/or to register, visit www.eastventuraeac.org.
