The Ventura County Community Foundation presents “Hiring, Firing and Everything in Between” – Management Strategies for Effective Employee Supervision – is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ventura County Community Foundation, 1317 Del Norte Road in Camarillo. Attorney Jonathan Fraser Light, of LightGabler, is the seminar facilitator and will focus on several aspects of successful supervision in the workplace.

The topics Mr. Light will highlight in his presentation include: eight common mistakes by supervisors; do’s and don’ts for applicant interviews; creating and implementing useful performance reviews; handling disability situations; the importance of documentation; layoff strategies; effective probationary or other disciplinary documents; a detailed termination checklist, and handling the termination meeting.
