Karen Gabler named a top business woman by PacBiz

Karen L. Gabler, employment attorney and co-founding partner of LightGabler, has been chosen once again as one of the 2014 “Top 50 Women in Business” by Pacific Coast Business Times.She was honored in the category of Professional Services.

Formed in May 2011, Camarillo-based LightGabler is a business law firm, focused on employment counsel, employment and business litigation, intellectual property and unfair competition. In the last three years, the firm has grown to 11 attorneys and more than 1,200 clients.

Ms. Gabler represents employers of all sizes and industries in all aspects of day-to-day employment advice and litigation matters. She also conducts twice-monthly complimentary breakfast seminars on employment law and management issues for clients, business owners and managers, and human resource professionals.

In addition to her legal work, Ms. Gabler has served as an officer, director or member of many business and philanthropic organizations, including the Professionals in Human Resources Association, United Way of Ventura County, Simi Valley Community Foundation, Simi Valley Hospital Foundation, East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council, Western Ventura County Employer Advisory Council, Simi Valley Education Foundation, The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura and Women’s Information Network of Simi Valley.

She has also been a long-time member of chamber of commerce organizations in Simi Valley, Greater Conejo Valley, Camarillo, Ventura and Oxnard, and served as the Chair of the Board for the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2008. Ms. Gabler is a graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii. She has taught employment law as an adjunct professor at the Pepperdine University School of Law.
