Have your supervisors been trained?

California law requires companies with 50 or more employees to provide their supervisors with at least two hours of interactive sex harassment and bullying prevention training every two years (agricultural employers must provide training every year). New supervisors must be trained within six months of starting a supervisory position.

Topics covered will include the prevention of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and bullying, as well as investigating and resolving employee complaints.

The training program is also beneficial for supervisors at smaller companies, and will allow employers to better protect the workplace from costly employment claims.
