Professional Experience
Lou Cappadona is an AV-rated attorney in Martindale Hubbell and has more than 50 years of experience covering a broad spectrum of employment and traditional labor law matters. Lou represents employers before various federal and state agencies, advises employers in labor union matters, counsels employers in preventive law and develops personnel policies and employee handbooks. He has been a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Corps (JAG), a Field Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board and Labor Counsel for Litton Industries. He has been in private practice representing employers and management since 1976.

Community
Lou is a member of the California, Ventura County and Texas Bar Associations and the CPA/LAW Society. He is a board member for the Mary Health Convalescent Hospital, Village Veterans Club, the Judge Advocate for American Legion Post 6 in Arizona, the Prescott Lakes HOA Advisory Committee, St. Jude’s Church “Safeguard the Children” Committee and a Lector at St. Jude’s and Sacred Heart Churches. He has been a board member of the East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (EAC), and served as its Program Director for many years. He was a member of the Employers Group Woodland Hills Regional Board of Directors as well as a board member of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA), where he served as Chairman of the Government Relations Committee. He was a Seminar Leader at the Industrial Relations Center at Caltech in Pasadena for six years.
Education
Lou received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Peter’s University, his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University of San Antonio and did graduate work in the Labor Law program at New York University School of Law. During his military service, he graduated from the U.S. Army Officers Infantry and Airborne Parachutist Schools. He also graduated from the U.S. Army Judge Advocate [JAG] School at the University of Virginia and was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Personal
Lou resides with his wife Patsy in Camarillo. They have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Lou is a "health club rat" and when he is not in the gym you can find him doing water aerobics in the pool. Patsy and Lou discovered river cruising and have enjoyed river boat vacations in Europe, China and at home on the Mississippi and Columbia Rivers.
