Professional Experience
Bree Cortes is licensed to practice in California and Washington, and has been practicing for over ten years in California. Bree has been in-house counsel for various companies in numerous industries including food service, technology and health. Bree provides legal advice and counsel to clients on all areas of employment law, including without limitation wage and hour issues, harassment and discrimination training, handbook drafting and updates, guidance on disciplinary actions, termination, investigations, and leaves of absence.
In addition to employment law, Bree has substantial experience in contractual matters as well as data privacy laws, including the CPRA and the GDPR.
Community
Bree is originally from San Bernardino County, and moved to Ventura County in 2020. She has volunteered with the Innocence Project and is looking forward to becoming more active in the local community.
Education
Bree graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University – Fullerton. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Concord Law School, graduating with honors.
Personal
Bree enjoys curling up and reading a good murder mystery. She loves spending time with her husband and son and going on adventures with her German Shepherd, “Riggs.”
