Ravneet “Nitu” Sandhu represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation and pre-litigation matters, including claims involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. She also serves as a trusted resource for employers navigating day-to-day workplace issues, helping clients address complex employment questions before they develop into disputes.
Nitu is naturally risk-conscious and believes some of the best legal work happens long before anyone steps into a courtroom. She works closely with employers to spot potential problems early, assess exposure, and find practical solutions that protect the business without losing sight of how it actually operates. Whether she is advising on a sensitive employee issue, strengthening workplace policies and practices, or helping a client respond to a developing concern, her goal is the same: address the issue thoughtfully and strategically before it becomes a bigger one. Sometimes the best result is the dispute that never happens.
When litigation does arise, Nitu brings that same practical mindset to the defense of her clients. She takes the time to understand what a successful outcome looks like for each client and builds a strategy around those objectives rather than treating every case the same. Her approach is measured, pragmatic, and grounded in the realities of the client’s business.
Education
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Nitu earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine, where she double majored in Political Science and Criminology, Law and Society and was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. Her path to employment law began early: throughout all four years of college, she worked at a healthcare and employment law firm, an experience that confirmed her interest in the field and ultimately shaped her decision to pursue it as a career. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she focused her coursework on employment law and related subjects.
Personal
Outside the office, Nitu has two very different ways of unwinding: she can usually be found either on the couch binge-watching her latest show or at a Lagree or reformer Pilates class.
