Michael Brody litigates a broad range of employment and business matters in both state and federal court, as well as in administrative proceedings, including cases involving the following:
- Wrongful termination
- Wage and hour claims
- Class actions
- Breach of contract
- Protection of employer trade secrets and confidential information; and
- Unfair business practices
Since 2005, Michael’s practice has focused on civil litigation, including representing a wide variety of clients in business and corporate transaction litigation. He also has represented physicians, nurses, skilled nursing facilities, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities against claims of medical malpractice, dependent adult abuse, and wrongful death. Michael has represented clients at all stages of litigation, from the initial claim through trial and in alternative dispute resolution. In addition to the State Bar of California, Michael is admitted to the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
Michael was born and raised in Ventura County. Michael is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association.
Michael graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Michael lives in Ventura with his wife and enjoys hiking and playing softball.
