Professional Experience
Ryan advises and represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including the complex litigation of class action wage and hour disputes and Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) actions. Ryan’s experience also includes reviewing employee handbooks and personnel policies for compliance with applicable laws as well as counseling employers on ways to improve their workplace policies and practices and resolving employees’ wage and hour claims.
Community
Ryan was born and raised in Orange, California and graduated from the Orange County High School of the Arts. Prior to law school, Ryan worked for over four years in the Orange County legal community and on multiple political campaigns. Ryan currently resides in San Diego, California.
Education
Ryan attended the University of California, Davis where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in History. Subsequently, Ryan earned his Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law. During law school, Ryan was the Note & Comment Editor for the American University Law Review and a member of the Program on Law & Government and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He also externed for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
Personal
Ryan is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Angels, and the Philadelphia Eagles. In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach, hiking, participating in recreational sports leagues, and forcing his dog Reaves to play and go on walks with him.
