Kathleen M. Fellows

Professional Experience

Kathy has been a civil litigation attorney for the past eight years. She has defended cases in areas including employment, personal injury, premises liability, contract, landlord-tenant, discrimination and defamation.

Kathy litigates a wide variety of disputed matters and counsels employers in all aspects of employment law, including:

• Wrongful termination
• Discrimination
• Harassment
• Retaliation
• Breach of contract
• Wage and hour violations
• Class action defense
• PAGA action defense
• Defamation
• Protection of employer trade secrets and confidential information
• Unfair business practices

Kathy has been named as a Southern California “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. She has been named as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” by the Pacific Coast Business Times. She also received the Women’s Council “Rising Star” award from the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

Community

Kathy is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and Ventura County Bar Association.

Education

Kathy graduated with honors from Utah State University with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Ventura College of Law. While attending night courses at Ventura College of Law, Kathy worked full time as a legal secretary and law clerk at a litigation defense firm. She was promoted to an associate attorney position immediately upon graduating as the Valedictorian of her class.
