Professional Experience

Chandra is a seasoned litigator and defense attorney representing employers and management throughout California in complex employment disputes and high-exposure matters. She advises and defends companies in response to single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, defamation and related claims. In addition, a significant portion of her litigation practice focuses on defense of wage and hour class actions and representative actions brought under California’s Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Chandra works closely with clients to assess risk, align litigation strategy with business goals, and guide matters through resolution efficiently and effectively.

Chandra has extensive civil litigation experience in both state and federal courts throughout California, in mediation and arbitration proceedings, and before government administrative agencies. Her litigation background encompasses a broad range of disputes, including construction defect and mold claims, personal injury defense, general and professional liability defense, intellectual property litigation, real estate litigation, business litigation, and homeowners association matters.

As the Litigation Department Chair, Chandra leads the firm’s statewide litigation practice and oversees a team of attorneys and legal professionals representing businesses and employers of all sizes and across a diverse range of industries.

Community

Chandra serves on the Boards of Directors of Women Lawyers of Ventura County and the Ventura County Library Foundation. She is also a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association.

In addition, Chandra is honored to be the recipient of the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s Mentor of the Year award and to be selected for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Leaders of Influence: Labor & Employment Attorneys” and “Women of Influence: Attorneys” lists.

Education

Chandra received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She attended UCSB as a Chancellor’s Scholar. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law as well as a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.

Personal

Chandra is a longtime Ventura County resident. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys hiking, gardening, traveling, and attending live music and sporting events.
