Professional Experience

Angela Lopez practices in the areas of employment law advice and employment litigation. She represents employers in a broad spectrum of matters including day-to-day legal compliance as well as employee complaints of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and leaves of absence.

Angela is an expert investigator and regularly investigates workplace complaints as well as employee wrongdoing. She has successfully litigated employment matters in administrative forums as well as in state and federal court, and has efficiently resolved numerous matters through a variety of alternative dispute resolution methods.

Community

Angela is a member of the Los Angeles County and Ventura County Bar Associations. She has been involved in various community and charitable organizations in Ventura County, and serves as a current board member for the United Way of Ventura County. In the past, Angela has served as a board member for the California Strawberry Festival (Promenade Committee Chair, 2009-2011), the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme (Secretary, 2007-2009), the Vision Committee for Destino Hispanic Legacy Fund, and Western Ventura County Employers Advisory Council. Angela currently volunteers as a Scout Leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and serves as parent volunteer at her children’s elementary school.

Education

Angela received her law degree from USC Law School, where she was a member of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal. She completed her undergraduate studies at UC Davis, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with degrees in English (with high honors) and women's studies (with honors). While at UC Davis, Angela was awarded a Regents Scholarship, the UC Davis Chancellor's Incentive Award, and the Edward Frank Kraft Award. Angela also participated in the English Department Honors Thesis Program, was a member of the Prytanean Women's Honor Society, and served as Rush Chair for her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Personal

Angela was born and raised in Southern California, and her father is a former police chief of Oxnard. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
