Professional Experience
Jared Sohn litigates a broad range of employment, labor, and business-related matters in both state and federal courts, as well as in administrative forums. He also works closely with companies of all growth stages, providing advice and counsel on a variety of modern workplace issues to reduce liability and achieve compliance.
Jared has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes civil and regulatory defense matters nationwide. His representative matters include having aggressively litigated an employment discrimination case against a Fortune 100 company, defending a public figure in a defamation lawsuit, as well as defending several prominent blockchain companies in widely-publicized, complex commercial disputes.
Community
Jared lives in San Diego. He has performed pro bono legal services for organizations such as Rising for Justice and Community Veteran Justice Project. He enjoys volunteering at local food banks.
Education
Jared received his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the Labor and Employment Law Association, Student Bar Association, and Sports and Entertainment Law Association. He graduated from the University of Miami Herbert Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Law, and an additional concentration in Political Science. Jared is admitted to the State Bar of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Personal
Jared is a native New Yorker who moved to Southern California shortly after having graduated from law school. For leisure, he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
