Effective April 1, 2016, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing has amended its Pregnancy Disability Leave Law (“PDLL”) notice. This amended notice should be printed out and posted with your other workplace posters as soon as possible. It is also important to ensure that your pregnancy disability policy in your handbook meets the current legal standards. Changes to the policy language have been made for 2016, and all policies prepared prior to 2016 should be reviewed and updated by employment law counsel.
