Professional Experience
Jenny Paquette is an experienced employment law attorney who has litigated cases alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and other employment matters since 2020. Jenny’s practice focuses on trial preparation and advocacy, and she has served as second chair in several trials. Previously, she litigated multimillion-dollar securities fraud class action lawsuits on behalf of institutional and individual investors. In addition to the State Bar of California, Jenny is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California.
Community
Jenny is an active member of her local community, and has volunteered with various community and charitable organizations in Alameda County. She is also an active advocate for trans rights and women’s rights. In the past, Jenny served as the Executive Director for the Bay Area’s roller derby league, in which she also skated and volunteered as an official. She remains active in the roller derby community, attending events and volunteering whenever she is able.
Education
Jenny is a cum laude graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she served as Staff Editor for the Temple Law Review, Executive Editor of the Temple Law Political and Civil Rights Society, and Co-Chair of the Gender Justice Committee of the National Lawyers Guild. She received her undergraduate degree from the Honors College of Rutgers University.
Personal
Jenny was born and raised in rural Maine, but has resided in the Bay Area since 2017, where she lives with her senior cat. She enjoys spending her free time with friends, frequently attending independent theater productions and concerts, traveling, and trying her hand at different sports and hobbies. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, yoga, and creating art.
