Chandra A. Beaton and Monnett G. De La Torre have joined the Camarillo-based employment law firm LightGabler as associates.
Beaton has 13 years of litigation experience. Her practice at the firm will focus on employment litigation on behalf of employers and managers. A long-time Ventura County resident, Beaton is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association and Women Lawyers of Ventura County. She earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
De La Torre also comes to LightGabler with a strong litigation background and will also join the firm’s advice and counsel group. She has experience in all stages of litigation, from the initial analysis and review of potential claims to the completion of trial and appellate work. Over the past five years, she has participated in numerous mediations, successfully assisted in the negotiation of over $5 million in settlements and defended against multi-million-dollar claims. Before relocating to Ventura, De La Torre practiced in downtown Los Angeles and San Diego. She is an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the Women Lawyers of Ventura County. De La Torre attended the University of California, San Diego where she earned a B.A. in Economics and she received her Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law.
